We received an incredible field of 79 submissions for Ignite Phoenix #9, ranging from ghost towns to 6,000 year old cultures, napping to novel writing and pancakes to cupcakes. It’s safe to say that this was the most diverse group of presentation ideas we’ve seen so far. Alas, we can only put 18 speakers on stage, so the judges faced a very difficult task when they met to choose the lineup. In the end, they persevered and selected the presentations you’ll see on February 11th.

Before we give you the lineup, we’d like to extend our thanks and appreciation to everyone who submitted, and we strongly encourage you to submit again if your presentation wasn’t chosen. All of you are clearly passionate about your topics and we do not want you to feel in any way discouraged. So please, submit again for Ignite Phoenix #10!

Once again, the presentation lineup was chosen by a panel of previous presenters who met in person. They spent an afternoon discussing the criteria for a great Ignite presentation and determining which submissions best met those criteria. The outcome of their deliberations is what you see below. Thank you judges for your time, patience and determination!

Also, the Ignite Phoenix team again invited two speakers whose passion for their topic is well known and certain to make for excellent presentations. Our invited speakers for Ignite Phoenix #9 are Megan White, a tireless advocate for multiple sclerosis, and Pavle Milic, the owner of FnB Restaurant whose passion for food and beverage is limitless.

Any chance the presentations will be recorded and webcast? Or at least audio? Can’t attend this year. Cheers.

Josh, thanks for your comment! We will be continuing our practice of live streaming Ignite Phoenix #9 on our website and we will also be posting the individual presentations to our YouTube channel within a couple weeks after the event.
